Our first goal is to “DO” the greatest commandments taught by Christ in Matthew 22 - love God with all we have and then love our neighbor as much as we love our self.

DO…

Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law? Jesus replied: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:36-39 NIV

Our second goal is to “GO” and make disciples of others and teach them all the things Christ taught in scripture.

GO…

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. Matthew 28:19-20 NIV

What should I expect on a Sunday morning?

posted Feb 4, 2010 1:56 PM by Brian Bridges

We are a new Church just launched in January 2009. We worship God through many ways - singing, giving, praying, preaching, and living our lives in our community. On Sundays at 10:30 - we have a short time to fellowship with each other...then we will sing a few songs, pray for each other, hear God's word through preaching and other things like giving testimonies of God's goodness. Dress is very casual.

What other times do you have activities?

We have Bible studies during the week at various times for adults and youth (children enjoy a Bible story and activities). We meet in the Church and have snacks and drinks provided. This is a very comfortable time to really get to know each other and have deep discussion on Biblical issues. We often will have "family" meals in our homes and at the church building to foster fellowship among our church family.

Do you have a nursery for young children?

Yes - up to age 3 - however our goal is to have the parent be able to provide guidance/oversight to their children at some point so they can join them in "big church" - we want each parent to grow to be a strong parent in Christ and for the child to be a part of the main worship/celebration time. We love children being a part of worship time and will not discourage a parent to not have their children with them while we worship, sing, and hear God's word. Parents are primarily responsible for the Spiritual guidance of their children. We just want to be able to encourage and assist you in that process.

Do you have a youth program?

We are forming a youth group right now. Sunday evenings @ 5:30 we host a sport event, snacks, and devotional time. Our goal here also is for the student to be able to worship and study with their parents in and out of the Church building - even though most of our youth come alone. We just want to be able to encourage and assist you in the process of guiding your son or daughter in Christ.

What do you believe?

We are distinctly a Southern Baptist Church. We agree with the Baptist Faith and Message and are a cooperating Church with the Gulf Coast Baptist Association. Look at our values and goals as well to find out where we stand theologically.
